2019 Annual Report to the Community

Dear Community Members,

The William H. Bush Memorial Library functions as an information center for the citizens of the Town of Martinsburg. It is committed to informing, entertaining, enriching and fostering self-learning through free access to its collection, services and facilities.

The Town of Martinsburg (as of 2010 Census) has a population of 1,433, the William H. Bush Memorial Library has 272 registered borrowers.

The 2018 community report below was compiled from statistics gathered from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018. The numbers show how the community used the resources offered at the William H. Bush Memorial Library, Martinsburg.

There was a total of 4,178 library visits.

The public computers were used by 461 patrons with 1,119 Wi-Fi users.

We had 202 reference transactions.

The library loaned out 1,785 items and borrowed 4,178.

Total circulation was 14,938. There were 51 e-media checkouts.

The library offered 121 programs with overall attendance of 764.

The community room was reserved by 58 individuals.

Library hours are Monday, Wednesday 10:00am – 12:00pm, 2:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday 10:00am – 12:00pm, 2:00pm – 6:00pm and Saturday 10:00am – 12:00pm.

The library board meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (January – November) the public is welcomed to attend meetings. 2019 library board members; Pres. Susan McArdle, V. Pres. Amy Beyer, Sec. Cheryl Kelly, Treas. Nelson Schwartzentruber, John Domagala, Michelle Jones, Daniel Jantzi.
